Printing on the back side
of the sheet is visible on
the front.

originals?

Are you printing a high coverage
image on thin paper or paper
that has good ink absorption?
Change to thick paper or paper
that is resistant to ink
absorption.
Select [Color/Image Quality] of
the copy function, and set
[Sharpness] to [-1] to [-3].

Are you printing on glossy paper
for photos?
Load paper other than glossy
paper for photos.
Is the ink dry? Do not touch the printed surface
for a while after printing. It
generally takes the ink about 10
to 30 minutes to dry. Drying time
will vary depending on the
density and coverage.
Are you using paper that is
prone to ink bleeding?
Change to recommended paper
type, do a sample print, and
check the image.
Blank patches (holes) in
the printed image.
Are there any torn, holes, or
watermarks on the paper?
If there are any torn, holes, or
watermarks on the paper, the
machine does not discharge ink
onto a certain area around the
hole.
Replace the paper with new
one.
Are there any small holes in the
paper?
Check the condition of the paper
by holding it up to light and
seeing if light shines through,
and replace with paper that
does not have holes.
White dots in the printed
image.
Are you using the paper with
much filler?
Change to paper with little filler.
Moire (dots grouped
together in patterns and
not aligned uniformly)
occurs.
Does the original include a
photo?
Select [Color/Image Quality] of
the copy function, and set
[Original Image] to
[Text+Photo] or [Photo].
