Leading edge of the
paper becomes soiled in
duplex printing.
Are any of the following
conditions true?
The margin at the trailing
edge of the 1st side (front
side) is 4 mm or less
There is a large (at least 40
mm wide at the trailing edge)
image with high print
coverage at the trailing edge
of the 1st side (front side)
The paper weight is light
(plain paper: 70 g/m
2
or less,
inkjet paper: 80g/m
2
or less).
You are using paper of width
190 mm or less
You are using short grain
paper
Adjust the amount of curling with
the decurl setting (main unit or
Inverter and Decurler Unit).

Change to thick paper.
Change the color table from the
printer driver.
In the System Menu, set
[EcoPrint] to [Off].

Set a larger margin on the
leading edge.
Print fainter colors in a high
coverage image at the leading
edge.
On paper with a width of 190
mm or less, use the combine
pages function to print the
pages on one large sheet of
paper, and then cut the paper.
If no improvement is seen,
change to new paper.

printed.

cleaning or nozzle recovery?
Perform head cleaning or nozzle
cleaning according the image
quality.

adjust color drift. At first, perform
[Color Registration - Auto]. If
the problem is not resolved,
perform [Color Registration -
Manual].

Are you using paper that is
prone to ink bleeding?
Change to recommended paper
type, do a sample print, and
check the image.
