Spraying agent:
Check the stock of spraying agent (Astri
®
-uc) in the container connected to the robot arm. The level can be read
by means of the tube on the side of the container.
If the level is too low, fill the container by means of the following procedures:
• Depressurize container (A, figure 6.10) by turning the three-way
valve lever (B) - fitted to container (A) - in a counterclockwise
direction.
• Remove cover (C) from the funnel (D). Clean the funnel with a dry
cloth, if necessary.
• As soon as container (A) is depressurized, the funnel (D) may be
filled. The valve underneath the funnel will open itself as a
consequence of the pressure exerted by the weight of the
spraying agent.
• After the funnel (D) is empty, place the cover (C) on the funnel
again to avoid contamination and/or clogging.
• Pressurize container (A) again by turning the three-way valve
lever (B) in a clockwise direction.
When container (A) is completely empty, the filter at the bottom side
can be cleaned as well. Ensure that the container (A) has been
depressurized before opening the filter.
It may occur that the spray nozzle is blocked. Follow these
procedures for unclogging of the spray nozzle:
• Turn off air supply to the carriage by means of the LH bottom valve in the multiple function control box behind
the red cover or choose Clean laser in the menu of the robot control box panel (section 3.4.7 ’Cleanlaser’).
The teat cups are now standing loosely on the centre plate creating enough space to reach the spray nozzle.
• Proceed to the option "Testmenu > Robot > Disinfection" (section 3.4.16 ’Testmenu’) to control spraying on
or off.
• Remove the spray nozzle and then rinse it clean.
• Never pierce its hole with a needle or something alike, which may cause damage to the
opening and effect the spraying direction of the nozzle.
• Be careful not to loose the spray nozzle vortex during cleaning.
• Before re-fitting the nozzle, allow the dip liquid to run through for a while in order to rinse all contamination
from the pipeline. This can be accomplished with the option "Testmenu > Robot > Disinfection"
(section 3.4.16 ’Testmenu’).
• Fit the nozzle and press the stop-button.
