88 13. Programming – Programming Manual
S1 = 0.75 x (RM1 - RM0)
Note: When changing the working conditions (wheel, workpiece, etc.) we
recommend to verify the programming of S1.
Setting range for S1: 0 to 99.9 decibel (resolution 0.1 decibel).
Value programming: press to highlight the involved field, press or to
view the desired value, then to confirm.
Delay on Gap control limit
The Gap control (End of Gap Elimination) triggers when the noise level exceeds the
limit programmed with S1 for a time longer than programmed in this stage (time T1).
Setting range for (T1): 0 to 9.999 seconds (resolution 0.001 seconds).
Value programming: press to highlight the involved field, press or to
view the desired value, then to confirm.
Reference of Gap control limit
Definition of Gap control limit value (S1) as absolute value or relative value.
Absolute value of S1: the value of Gap control limit is referred to zero.
The control triggers when the noise level exceeds the programmed limit.
It is recommended when the background noise has a relatively constant
intensity indicated by a limited oscillation of the instantaneous noise
values on the bargraph in relation to the mean value (central bar).
Relative value of S1: the value of Gap control limit is referred to the
background noise value automatically acquired at the beginning of the
Gap cycle. The control triggers when the increment of noise level,
referred to background noise, exceeds the programmed limit.
It is recommended when the background noise has a variable intensity
indicated by a considerable oscillation of the instantaneous noise values
on the bargraph in relation to the mean value (central bar).
Data programming: press to highlight the involved field, then press to define
the status of the data.
