4.5.18.2 Adjust the Crease Stretch
The crease stretch trim adjustment makes allowance for manufacturing tolerances
between different creaser modules. The stretch measurement is a known number of
motor steps that is approximately equal to 4 x circumference of the input rollers. The
stretch trim makes the crease position accurate on the sheet.
Note: The
inner pair of edge-sensors are used by default when
the MFC Test program does the crease stretch check.

A (-) offset value will reduce the crease stretch.
A (+) offset value will increase the crease stretch.
12 Adjust the outer pair skew offset
trim to make the crease parallel to
the lead-edge of the sheet.
Do Steps 5 thru 8.
13 Do a check to see if the crease

tretch trim is correct.

Do a check to see if the distance
between the first crease and the
stretch crease is 320mm (see
Figure 4.65).
4 Adjust the stretch crease trim to
make the dist
ance between the
first crease and the stretch crease
measure 320mm.
Set a stretch trim value
in the setting box.
