11. Alarm and Warning
11.1. Identifying Alarm and Warning
If an error occurs in the Megatorque Motor System, the Driver Unit Model EDD gives an alarm or a
warning.

In case of an emergency stop, clear the
input EMST.
Warning
Reports an occurrence of
minor problem that can be
easily rectified.
WRN output opens*.
Depends on a
warning.
You can clear a warning with the input
ACLR, the command CL and a reset of
power (OffOn). However, it is
necessary to remedy the cause.
Over
travel limit
Reports one of the over
travel limits is activated.
Either one of OTPA or
OTPM*, from which the
Motor entered, opens*.
Stops immediately.
Input of limit
direction is not
accepted.
Move the Motor out of the off limits area.
* When the setting of logic is the shipping set
11.1.1. LED Alarm Indicator
Turn on the power and confirm the 7 segments LED (alarm indicator) on the front panel of the Driver Unit
for the condition of the System. If it is in the state shown in the Figure 11-1 below, an alarm or warning is
occurring.
If the parameter LED (LED mode) is set other than LM0, the alarm indicator does not report the
occurrence of alarm or warning. (In such a case, it shows the state of the settings of the control
inputs and outputs.)

Power LED: It tuns on when the power is on.
Normal state: Green
Error occurs: Orange
7 segments LED: Identifies a type of alarm.
It indicates a type of alarm in 2 digit
numbers. The numbers will be dispalyed
in time sharing.
If two or more errors occurs, the LED
indicates them in the same manner as
described above.
Power LED: Turns on when the power
turns on.
Normal state: Green
• Error: Orange
