11.3.13. Alarm E7: System Error
The Driver Unit holds the related data and settings to the Motor type with which it is combined. (Factory
set parameters)
This alarm occurs when the data on the Motor is altered or damaged from any cause.
Table 11-20: Cause and remedy for the alarm E7
Cause
Remedy
(1)
Defective program memory on the PCB or
defective EEPROM
Check the following and inform us the results through NSK sales or
representative.
(1) The reference number of the mated Motor.
(2) Echoed back character strings when “?XSY [ENT]” is inputted.
[Example] XSYS1006
Replace the Driver Unit referring to “Appendix 5: Procedure for Replacing
Driver Unit Model EDD,” if necessary.
(1) Never execute the command SI during occurrence of this alarm. It is dangerous because the factory set
parameters for the wrong Motor type may be set.
11.3.14. Alarm E8: Interface Error
The Driver Unit incorporates several printed circuit boards inside.
This alarm occurs when an error is detected on the printed circuits board for control.
Table 11-21: Cause and remedy for the alarm E8
Cause
Remedy
(1)
Defective FPGA on PCB
If a reset of the power does not solve the problem, the Driver Unit may be
defective. Replace it referring to “Appendix 5: Procedure for Replacing
Driver Unit Model EDD,” if necessary.
11.3.15. Alarm E9: ADC Error
The Driver Unit checks the current detecting circuit when activating the Motor servo.
This alarm reports that an error is on the A/D converter, a component of the current detecting circuit.
Table 11-22: Cause and Remedy for the alarm E9
Cause
Remedy
(1)
The circuits for the main power supply
and current detection may be damaged
by serge current due to lightning.
If a reset of the power does not solve the problem, the Driver Unit may be
defective. Replace it referring to “Appendix 5: Procedure for Replacing
Driver Unit Model EDD,” if necessary.
