34. Lightly tap on the bearing from the opposite side to
remove it from the snorkel tube.
35. Remove the retaining ring to remove the remaining
washer, bearing and gear from the snorkel shaft.
Planetary Differential Disassembly
NOTE: If the gearcase is completely assembled,
perform the “Gearcase Disassembly and Inspection”
procedure.
1. Use a scribe to mark the differential cover and ring
gear prior to disassembly.
2. Remove the (6) screws retaining the differential cover
and remove the cover.
3. Remove the (6) planet gears and each side gear
assembly from the ring gear.
