Planetary Differential Assembly
1. Thoroughly clean the differential components.
2. Assemble the side gears and place them onto the ring
gear along with the (6) planet gears.
3. Align and install the differential cover using the
previously made scribe marks.
4. Apply Loctite® 2760™ to cover screws.
5. Install screws hand tight. Place assembly in soft jaw
vise and torque to specification.
Gear / Shaft / Bearing Inspection
Differential Cover Screws:
18-22 ft-lbs (24-30 Nm)
Inspect all gear sets and shafts for
excessive wear or damage.
IMPORTANT: If gear replacement is
required, be sure to also replace the
corresponding gear or gear shaft.
Inspect all bearings for signs of
wear or damage. If replacement is
required, use a standard bearing
puller or an arbor press.
