4.5 FIRMWARE UPDATE
4.5.1 FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD (CONTROLLER, NIB AND PS3)
This procedure is for upgrading the firmware for the controller, the network
interface board, and the PS3 DIMM module.
To update the PS3 firmware, the target DIMM module must already contain a
version of the PS3 firmware.

CAUTION
Do not turn off the machine while downloading the firmware.
1. Prepare an IC card that contains the required firmware.
2. Turn off the machine and remove the cover [A] (1 screw).
3. Install the card [B] in the IC card slot on the controller.
NOTE:
When you see the machine from the front, the “A” side of the card must
face the front side.
4. Turn on the machine and switch the display to “Printer” (use the “Printer” key
on the operation panel).
