6 Commissioning
Commissioning requires a thorough check by qualified safety
personnel!
Before you operate a system protected by the TR4 safety switch for the
first time, make sure that the system is first checked and released by
qualified safety personnel. Please read the notes in chapter 2 “On
safety” on page 59.
Ensure the time for the safety request (renewed closing of the pro-
tective device) is greater than the risk time!
See section 9.2 Data sheet” on page 92.
6.1 Indication on switching on
After switching on the device undertakes a self-test. During this process
the Status/Diag LED flashes Green (see Tab. 5 on page 89).
6.2 Teach-in (TR4 Unique Coded)
Prior to initially commissioning the TR4 Unique Coded, an actuator
must be taught-in. Only if there is a taught-in actuator in the response
range of the TR4 Unique Coded does the device enable its outputs.
Only the last actuator taught-in is valid.
The teach-in process can be undertaken either such that a new actua-
tor can be taught-in, or such that the sensor can be locked for further
teach-in processes.
