Batch8-12 SIMATIC PCS 7 OSx 4.1.2 Operator
8.9 Splitting a Batch
The operator can split a batch into multiple batches from the batch tag
detail by selecting
Split Batch and entering a new, unique batch ID at the
Sub -Batch ID prompt followed by selecting OK (Figure 8-10). This creates a
new batch with the same product as the parent batch. The split-batch
command places the new child batch in the ready state and resets its start
time to reflect the time at which the split command was performed.
The system automatically removes parent batches when all of their child
batches are removed. The operator can also remove the parent batch before
all the children have been removed. See Section 8.10 for more information
on removing batches.
