If you are using S7-417 controllers or a prior release/model of S7-416
controllers not listed in Table 1-1 (but no S7-414 controllers), you can
connect up to eight OSx stations. If you are using only S7-416 controllers
from a release listed in Table 1-1 (or a newer model S7-416), but no S7-417
or S7-414 controllers, y ou can connect up to 12 OSx stations.

controllers in your system are from a release listed in Table 1-2 (or a newer
model S7-414), you can connect up to eight OSx stations.
