Error message when parameters are overwritten
The current parameters are overwritten with those from the file.
If the content of the file is not compatible with the current safety relay, an error message is
displayed (Example: You are processing the parameters of an MSS and have opened the
parameter file for a motor starter.)

Overwriting the parameters
When you choose this menu command, the parameters in the main memory are overwritten
without you being prompted to confirm this.
6.4.1.4 Open online...
The menu command "Switching device" > "Open online" establishes a data connection
betweeen the PC and a safety relay and loads the data from the safety relay once into the
PC's RAM. The data connection remains in place,
Procedure:
● Since access is only possible via the local device interface, you must specify the COMx
port.
● Confirm the dialog with "OK".
● The program establishes a connection with the specified safety relay, checks whether the
parameters that are currently displayed are compatible with this safety relay, and then
reads all the parameters from the device.
● If no configuration is open at the time of opening online, a graphical diagram is created in
which the functions are arranged automatically according to the signal flow.
● If a configuration is opened at the time of opening online, the offline configuration is
compared with the online data. The graphical arrangement of the functions of the offline
parameters is retained as far as possible.
6.4.1.5 Save
To save existing parameters on a data carrier in the standard format (*.sdp), choose "Open
online" > "Switching device" > "Save".
If no file is open at this point (e.g. because you have selected "Switching device" > "New" to
select a new safety relay for processing), the "Save as..." dialog box is displayed instead.
6.4.1.6 Save as...
With the menu command "Switching device" > "Save as...", you save the current data under
a new name.
