8.4 Diagnostics with MSS ES
This diagnostics can be used to read the status of each system element. Diagnostics with
MSS ES is divided into "Diagnostics configuration" and "Diagnostics logic".
The diagnostics configuration provides users with an overview of the module status and
device messages.
Diagnostics logic allows users to monitor system components. It also permits forcing.

8.4.1 Diagnostics configuration
8.4.1.1 Module status
Requirements
The menu command "Target system" > "Diagnostics configuration" > "Module status" can
only be selected if the central unit is activated in the navigation window and when an online
connection is established between the MSS ES and the safety relay.
Module status
When you choose "Target system" > "Diagnostics configuration" > "Module status", the
status of the modules is shown in an additional column in the configuration table.
A red square indicates a faulty module.
Note
As of the first defective module, all subsequent modules can no longer be accessed.
