Safety mode (DEVICE LED: green)
In safety mode, all monitoring functions are active in accordance with the set
parameterization. Safety mode can only be exited by means of a command.
Display
The central unit changes to safety mode:
DEVICE SF
Once the system has been switched on and if the configuration has been
released and the test results of the device startup are OK.
green off
From configuring mode by means of the relevant command. green off
7.3.2 Commissioning
NOTICE
Since commissioning of the MSS is an important, safety-related step, it must be carried out
by qualified personnel.
Requirements
The following requirements must be met for commissioning:
● The device has been installed.

Mounting/installing/attaching (Page 64)
Check all the latches to ensure that they are properly engaged.
● The device has been wired.

● The MSS ES software is installed on your PC/programming device.
● The configuration is available in a consistent form and saved.
● The power supply unit for the MSS is connected.
● The PG/PC and central unit are connected via the PC cable.

Note
If there is already a released configuration on the central unit, cancel this configuration
release with the menu command "Target system" > "Cancel configuration release".
