7.5 Integrating the Modular Safety System 3RK3 in DP master systems
Modular Safety System 3RK3
232 System Manual, 10/2008, 926 2530-02 DS 02
You can select various PROFIBUS diagnoses in the device-specific parameters. The
length of the diagnostics frame must be adapted accordingly.
If all the diagnoses are transferred, the length of the diagnostics frame is 42 bytes.
The diagnoses can only be selected hierarchically from bottom to top,
which means that you cannot select the module status only because you then have to
disable channel-specific diagnostics.
6. Save your settings with "OK".
7. Select the PROFIBUS address for the DP interface.

Changing the PROFIBUS address in STEP 7 HW Config
DP slaves connected to the PROFIBUS sub-network must have a unique PROFIBUS
address. If the DP slave to be connected supports the function SET_SLAVE_ADD, you can
assign the address via HW Config:
In HW Config, you can assign a new PROFIBUS address using the menu command "Target
system" > "PROFIBUS" > "Assign PROFIBUS address".
Tip
If the current DP addresses are not completely certain, connect the DP slaves individually to
the programming device/PC and re-address the DP slaves.
