Procedure with ID key inserted:
To add a new individually encodable ID key to the list of individually encodable ID keys, or to
change the authorization level of an already added individually encodable ID key, the
following steps are required:
● Insert the individually encodable ID key into the ID key-operated switch.
● Wait until the ID key is recognized. If the ID key is not recognized, all of the LEDs on the
ID key-operated switch will flash.
● Select the levels 1 - 4 (any combination) by writing in the index 79, subindex 2, 3, 4, 5.
● Write the system command "
Add new individually encodable ID key
" (write the value 168
in the index 2).
● Check the status of the individually encodable ID key (data set (index) 92 - diagnostics).
● Remove the ID key from the ID key-operated switch.
Procedure using the number of the ID key (as of firmware version 2.0.0):
To add the new, individually encodable ID key based on its number, proceed as follows:
● Select the levels 1 - 4 (any combination) by writing in the index 79, subindex 2, 3, 4, 5.
● Write the valid ID number in the index 79, subindex 1 (5 bytes)
● Write the system command
Add new individually encodable ID key with its number
(write
the value 169 in the index 2)
● Check the status of the individually encodable ID key (index 92, subindex: 21 [0x15] hex)
If an individually encodable ID key already exists in the memory and this ID key is re-saved
by the system command 168 or 169, its level is overwritten according to DS79, subindex 2,
3, 4, 5.
