7.15 SITRANS LUT400 Communication Systems
The SITRANS LUT400 is an integrated level controller capable of communicating process
information to a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, through a HART
modem.

7.15.1 LUT400 Communications (HART)
Highway Addressable Remote Transducer, HART, is an industrial protocol that is
superimposed on the 4-20 mA signal. It is an open standard, and full details about HART can
be obtained from the HART Communication Foundation at https://fieldcommgroup.org/

).
SITRANS LUT400 can be configured over the HART network using the HART
Communicator 375/475 by Emerson (see Operation via Field Communicator 375/475
(FC375/ (Page 165)), or a software package. The recommended software package is the
SIMATIC Process Device Manager (PDM) by Siemens.

SITRANS LUT400 conforms to HART rev. 7.2.
7.15.1.2 Burst mode
SITRANS LUT400 does not support burst mode.
