Password
Sets passwords for up to two different preset levels of system security and access. This
can be helpful to prevent unauthorized users from modifying settings that can damage
the equipment, produce inferior print results, or endanger workers. To learn exactly what
is blocked for users who do not have a Level 1 password or a Level 2 password, see the
JetStream Service Manual.
CAUTION PROPERTY DAMAGE: Passwords are set by authorized
personnel. Do not change or disable the password settings without
authorization.
To set a Level 1 password, go to the “Level 1 Password” section:
Under “Switch Status,” select Disabled. A dialog box appears asking for the
current Level 1 password.
Enter the current Level 1 password. “Switch Status” displays as Enabled.
Under “Update,” enter a new password in both the “New Password” and “Confirm
Password” boxes.
Select Save to save the new Level 1 password. A dialog box will appear asking
for the previous Level 1 password.
Enter the previous Level 1 password to save the new password.
NOTE: Make note of the new Level 1 password and keep it in a secure
location where others will not have access to it.
To set a Level 2 password, go to the “Level 2 Password” section and perform the same
steps as for setting a Level 1 password.
NOTE: Make note of the new Level 2 password and keep it in a secure
location where others will not have access to it.
If changes to the Password have been performed by authorized and qualified
personnel, select Save.
Select Close to close the Password settings.
