DANGER: Do not remove the Printhead Cover while printing. The Printhead Cover
is an important safety feature, protecting users from electric shock from the high
voltage passing through components inside the Printhead during operation.
For cleaning, maintenance or troubleshooting of the Printhead, the cover can be removed by
unscrewing the Cover Fastener and pulling the Printhead Cover toward the nozzle end of the
Printhead.
Inside the Printhead, the Inner Printhead Shield covers wires and tubes that carry ink, makeup
fluid, and electronic signals to and from the Printhead. Visible Printhead components include the
Gun Body, Charge Electrode Tunnel, Phase Detector, Deflector Plates, and Ink Return Gutter.
