Adjusting the Ink Drop Break-Off
The ink drop break-off point is preset at the factory and should not require adjustment.
CAUTION: Ink drop break-off adjustments should only be performed by trained,
qualified personnel. If in doubt, contact your authorized Squid ink Distributor.
A correctly set ink drop break-off is essential to good quality printing. The optimum ink drop
break-off point is in the middle of the Charge Electrode Tunnel. The ink drop break-off point is
impacted by:
• Ink viscosity
• Ink pressure
• Blockages inside the Printhead Nozzle
• Obstructions in the hydraulic system
• Contaminants in the ink
If the ink drop break-off point is not in the correct location, ink spatters will appear around the
printing:
