Preparing the JetStream for More than 3 Months Idle
If the JetStream will be idle for 3 months or more, or if it is going to be shipped, a thorough
shutdown procedure must be followed to flush the hydraulic system and ensure that the
JetStream does not become clogged with dried ink during the dormant period. Flushing cleans
the Mixing Tank, pumps, tubes, and Gun Body.
CAUTION PROPERTY DAMAGE: The long-term shutdown procedure should be
performed by trained and qualified personnel. If in doubt, contact your certified
Squid Ink distributor.
Items needed to prepare the JetStream for more than 3 months idle are:
Paper towels
5-gallon hazardous liquids container
Full Makeup Container
Storage Plugs that were removed during commissioning process
