FAULT 52 Continued... LEAK TEST 1 FAIL (Cont’d)
Cycle is automatically aborted. User is required to:
1. Verify soaking cap of endoscope. Replace soaking cap if
necessary and restart a processing cycle. If unsuccessful,
go to Step 2.
2. Perform dry leak test according to endoscope
manufacturer recommendations. If no leak is detected, go
to Step 3.
3. Perform wet leak test according to manufacturer
recommendations. If no leak is detected, go to Step 4.
4.
Perform self-diagnostic without hose assembly to
determine if leak comes from processor system. If yes, call
STERIS.* If not, go to Step 5.
5. Perform self-diagnostic to determine if leak comes from
hose assembly (use plugs already provided). If yes,
change and lubricate endoscope connection O-ring (refer
to S
ECTIONS 6.13 and 6.14) or change hose assembly.
6. Ensure hose plug remains properly in place on extremity of
leak test hose for all duration of self-diagnostic test. If
unsuccessful, go to Step 4 and Step 5 if necessary.
Alarm sounds, and display shows:
FAULT 53
CYCLE DELAYED
alternating with:
SEE FAULT CHART
CYCLE DELAYED
Printout message:
HH:MM:SS XM MM-DD-YY

Press ALARM REPLY touch pad to silence audible alarm.
Pressure loss over acceptance criterion during monitoring
time.
Possible causes:
1. Endoscope leaks.
2. Hose plug removed from extremity of leak test hose
assembly during self-diagnostic test. Go to Step 6.
