18.3 (305185) LIMITING CHUCKING FORCE SETTING SYS-
TEM TRAVEL 4052
Description:
This system allows setting the chucking force travel on the pickoff spindle.
Setting the chucking force position very precisely avoids deforming fragile
parts in the pickoff spindle, for example, a thin wall tube.
⇒ Information : This system does not apply to DECO 7, 7a
Operation:
The collet chucking force is set by the thrust tube using the stop 20.
By making one complete revolution of 360
, the stop is moved 1 mm (thread
pitch = 1 mm). To do this, a pin key has to be used.
The screws 100 block the stop after setting.

Remove the thrust tube.
Insert the tools 40 / 50 / 60 / 70
according to the assembly draw-
ing.

Dismounting :
Remove the circlips
Unscrew the nut 60
Dismount the 40 / 70
Remove the cover
MOUNTING THE THREADED COVER 561681
What to do ? Notes
Install the threaded cover
Remount the 40 / 70
Rescrew the nut 60
Reinsert the circlips
Remove the tools. 40 / 50 / 60 / 70
MOUNTING THE FLANGE AND STOP
What to do ? Notes
Fasten the flange 10 and the stop.
20 above the circlips with 4 M4x10
screws 80.

Reinsert the thrust tube.

This system is incompatible with the mechanical spindle locking
system.
