4.Loosenthehoseclampanddisconnectthecylinderreturnhosefromthe
bottomoftheliftcylinder(Figure64).Leavetheotherendofthereturnhose
connectedtothelteradapteronthetransmission.
5.Securelyplugtheopenendofthedisconnectedliftcylinderreturnhoseto
preventhydraulicuidleakageorsuctionofairbythetransmission.
6.Removeallhydraulicuidfromdrainpan.Ensurethattheemptydrainpan
remainsundertheopenttingoftheliftcylinder.
7.StarttheengineandbrieyholdtheliftcontrolleverintheRAISEpositionto
pressurizetheliftcylinders.Shutofftheengine.
8.Checktoseeifanyuidhasleakedintothedrainpanfromtheopentting
oftheliftcylinder.Ifthereisanyuidinthedrainpan,theliftcylinderhas
internalleakageandmustbereplaced;refertoLiftCylinder(page5–110).
9.Iftheliftcylindershowsnosignofleakage,removetheplugfromthereturn
hose,andinstallthehoseontheliftcylindertting.Securethehoseby
tighteningthehoseclamp.
10.Ifnecessary,repeatsteps3through9fortheotherliftcylinder.
11.Aftertestingiscompleted,removethesupportfromthecuttingdeck(or
implement).Startengineandoperateliftcylindersthroughseveralupand
downcycles.Shutofftheengineandcheckforanyleakage.
12.Checkhydraulic-uidlevelinreservoir(frontaxle).
