4.1 Overview
Power Feeding modules supply an galvanically isolated 24 V DC field voltage to the I/O modules.
By using Power Feeding modules, it is not necessary to distribute power separately to each BL67 I/O
module.
Power Feeding modules distribute two separately switchable voltages to the modules, one for the
inputs (V
sens
), and one for the outputs (V
O
). These two voltages refer to the same ground potential
(GND).
A sensor current limitation of 4 A for the input supply V
sens
is integrated in the modules to detect pos-
sible short circuits in the sensor supply.
The 24 V DC field supply is connected to the Power Feeding module by a 7/8"- connector.
LED displays
Error signals and diagnostic statuses are indicated via LEDs on the module. The corresponding diagnos-
tic information is transmitted to the gateway via diagnostic bits.
