Analog value representation (analog output modules)
Current values from 4 to 20 mA
The decimal values for the current values from 4 mA to 20 mA can be calculated by means of the fol-
lowing equation:
decimal value = 255,9375
× current value - 1023,75
The value range:
4 mA to 20 mA
is displayed as follows:
000
hex
to FFF
hex
(decimal: 0 to 4095)
The decimal value can easily be changed into a hexadecimal value (see page 15-24).
Voltage values from 0 to 10 V DC
The decimal values can be converted into current values from 0 VDC to 10 VDC by means of the follow-
ing equation:
decimal value = 409,5
× voltage value
The value range:
0 V to 10 V
is displayed as follows:
000
hex
to FFF
hex
(decimal: 0 to 4095)
The decimal value can easily be changed into a hexadecimal value (see page 15-24).
Voltage values from -10 to 10 VDC
The decimal values can be converted into
current values from -10 VDC to 10 VDC by means of the fol-
lowing equation:
For positive voltage values 0 VDC to 10 VDC use:
decimal value = 204,7
× voltage value
The value range:
0 V to 10 V
is displayed as follows:
000
hex
to 7FF
hex
(decimal: 0 to 2047)
