3. Remove soil from the auger using, for example, a screwdriver.
Do not clean the auger with your fingers. The edges of the auger are
sharp.
WARNING!
4. Repeat step 2 and step 3 until you have reached the desired depth. The maximum
drilling depth is approximately 1.15 m (3 ft 9 in).
Any delay in inserting the sensor into the drilled hole may allow moisture to swell
the sides of the hole or to
fill the hole with water.
5. Remove the auger from the hole.
