6 Brake
Master brake cylinder
4. Unscrew union nut 4 and remove the brake hose.
5. Close the openings with plugs.
6. Remove the fastening screws, pull the brake cylinders forward and
remove the brake fluid hose 5.
7. Remove the master brake cylinder.
Install
Install in the reverse order.
1. Align the fork hear of the brake cylinder 2 in the connection. When
pressing the brake pedal, the actuation rod 1 should have a free play of
about 1 mm before there is a resistance. If necessary, screw the
actuation rod a little further into or out of the fork head and counter it
with nut.
Accident hazard due to reduced braking effect
Air can be drawn into the system when the brake circuit is opened.
► Bleed the brake circuit with brake bleed equipment.
Then check the brake fluid level – see “Checking the brake-fluid level” on
page 1-65.
