10.3 Remove/install the battery cover
1. Remove screws 1 and take out cover plate.
2. Only for vehicles with Perkins 404F-22 engines: Unplug the relay
K042 2.
3. Disassemble the base plate – see “Removing/installing the base plate”
on page 10-2.
Only for vehicles with the additional weight option: Raise the
vehicle and fold-in the additional weight.
4. Remove screw 3.
5. Only for vehicles with the additional weight option: Ensure that the
left fastening nut 4 is removed.
