15 Storage
15.2 Storing the battery
Requirement • The device and the battery have been cleaned and disinfected
(see “8 Hygienic reprocessing”, page 230).
• The battery is fully charged.
• If available: The replacement battery is fully charged.
1. Insert the battery in the battery compartment and store the
device in a dry place.
Alternatively:
Store the battery in a dry place outside the device.
2. Charge battery at regular intervals:
Result The battery is stored in a dry place and is ready for use.
No therapy due to extended storage of the battery without
recharging!
Storing the battery for an extended period of time without
recharging may result in the rapid shutdown of and irreparable
damage to the battery.
When the battery is stored in the device without a power
supply: Charge battery every 3 months.
If the battery is not stored in the device: Charge batteries with
serial numbers < 20,000 every 5 months and batteries with
serial numbers ≥ 20,000 every 9 months.
