Checking the signaling system

1. Check the horn switch.

• The horn switch is faulty.
• Replace the left handlebar switch.
2. Check the entire signaling system
wiring.

page 8-21.
Properly connect or replace the wire har-
ness.
Replace the horn.
1. Check the tail/brake light bulbs and
sockets.

Replace the tail/brake light bulb, socket or
both.
2. Check the front brake light switch.
Refer to “CHECKING THE

Replace the front brake light switch.
3. Check the rear brake light switch.

SWITCHES” on page 8-169.
Replace the rear brake light switch.
4. Check the brake switch relay.

Replace the brake switch relay.
5. Check the brake light relay.
Refer to “CHECKING THE RE-
LAYS” on page 8-177.
Replace the brake light relay.
6. Check the entire signaling system
wiring.
Refer to “CIRCUIT DIAGRAM” on
page 8-21.
Properly connect or replace the wire har-
ness.
This circuit is OK.
