AC MAGNETO AND STARTER CLUTCH ENG

Flywheel puller:
YU-33270, 90890-01362
Adapter:
YU-33282,90890-04089
Removal steps:
• Remove the starter clutch bolts CD.
• Remove the rotor bolt ® and washer ®.
NOTE: _
Loosen the starter clutch bolts CD and rotor
bolt ® while holding the rotor with a
sheave holder

AC MAGNETO REMOVAL
1.Remove:
• Rotor
•
Wood ruff key
• Remove the
rotor and the woodruff key.
NOTE: _
• When installing the flywheel puller
remove three of the starter clutch bolts.
• Remove the
rotor by pushing back the
rotor, the flywheel puller
® and the
adapter
®.
• Install the flywheel puller bolts and
tighten the center bolt, making sure
that
the tool body stays parallel to the rotor. If
necessary, one holding bolt may be
backed
out slightly for realignment of the
tool.

STARTER CLUTCH INSPECTION
1.lnspect:
• Gear teeth (idler)
CD
• Gear teeth (starter wheel) ®
Burrs/chips/roughness/wear ~ Replace.
• Shaft
®
Bends/damage ~ Replace.
