DISASSEMBLY
1.Remove:
Dust
sea
I
CD
Retaining clip ®
(use a slotted-head screwdriver)
Take care
not
to
scratch
the
inner
tube.
2.Remove:
Damper rod
bolt
CD
NOTE:
Loosen the
damper
rod
bolt
while
holding
the damper rod
with
the T-handle ® and
the
damper rod
holder
®.
. T-Handle:
YM-01326, 90890-01326
Damper rod holder:
YM-01388, 90890-01388
3.Remove:
Damper rod
Rebound spring
4.Remove
Inner tube
**********************************
Removal steps:
Hold the fork leg horizontally.
Securely clamp the caliper
mounting
boss
of
the outer tube in a vise
with
soft
jaws.
Separate the inner tube
from
the outer
tube by pulling forcefully
but
carefully on
the inner tube.
Excessive force
will
damage
the
oil
seal
and/or
the
slide metal. A damaged
oil
seal and
metal
must
be
replaced.
Avoid
bottoming
the
inner
tube
into
the
outer
tube
during
the
above procedure,
as
the
oil
lock
piece
will
be damaged.
