MASTER CYLINDER INSTALLATION
1.lnstall:
• Master
cylinder CD
• Master cylinder bracket ®

• Install the master cylinder holder with the
"UP" mark facing upward.
• Align the end of the holder with the
punch mark ® on the handlebar.
• First,
tighten the upper bolt, then tighten
the lower bolt.
2.1nstall:
• Copper washers
CD _
• Brake hose ®
• Union bolt @
~30 Nm (3.0 m . kg, 21.7 ft . Ibl I
NOTE: _
• Tighten the
union bolt while holding the
brake hose as shown.
• Turn the handlebar to the left and
to the
right to check
that the brake hose does
not touch other parts (throttle cable, wire
harness, leads, etc.). Correct if necessary.
A WARNING
• Proper brake hose routing is essential to
insure safe motorcycle operation. Refer
to "CABLE ROUTING".
•
Always use new copper washers.
