OIL PUMP INSPECTION
1.1nspect:
• Drive
gear (oil pump) CD
• Driven gear (oil pump) ®
Cracks/wear/damage ~ Replace.
2.Measure:
•
Tip clearance ®
(between the inner rotor CD and the outer
rotor ®)
• Side clearance (fi)
(between the outer rotor ® and the pump
housing @)
Out of specification ~ Replace the oil
pump assembly.
lip clearance:
0.12
mm (0.005 in)
<Limit>: 0.2 mm (0.008 in)
Side clearance:
0.03
.... 0.08 mm (0.001 .... 0.003 in)
<Limit>: 0.15 mm (0.006 in)
3.Check:
• Oil
pump operation
Unsmooth operation ~ Replace.
