FRONT WHEEL AND BRAKE DISC ICHASI~I
FRONT WHEEL DISASSEMBLV
1.Remove:
• Oil seals
• Bearings
CD
• Collar

Removal steps:
• Clean the outside
of the front wheel hub.
• Use a flat-head screwdriver
to remove the
oil seals.
NOTE: _
To prevent damage place a rag between the
screwdriver and the wheel surface.
• Remove the bearings using a standard
bearing puller
(2).

FRONT WHEEL INSPECTION
1.1nspect:
• Front wheel axle
(by rolling
it on a flat surface)
Bent
~ Replace.
A WARNING
Do not attempt to straighten a bent axle.
2.1nspect:
• Front tire
Refer
to "TIRE INSPECTION" in CHAPTER
3.
• Fro nt wheel
Refer
to "'WHEEL INSPECTION" in CHAP-
TER 3.
3.Check:
• Spokes
Bends/damage
~ Replace.
Loose spokes
~ Retighten.
Turn the wheel and tap the spokes
with a
screwdriver.
NOTE: _
A tight spoke will emit a clear, ringing tone;
a loose spoke
will sound flat.
