FINAL GEAR OIL LEVEL INSPECTION
1.Stand the motorcycle on a level surface.
NOTE: _
• When inspecting the final gear oil level,
make sure the motorcycle is upright.
• Place the motorcycle on a suitable stand.
2.Remove:
• Oil
filler
bolt
CD
3.lnspect:
• Oil level
Oil level should
be
to
the
bottom
brim
(1)
of
the hole.
Oil level is
too
low
-}
Add oil
to
the
proper
level.
Recommended oil:
SAE 80 API
"GL-4"
Hypoid
gear
oil
If
necessary an SAE 80W90
hypoid
gear oil
may
be
used
for
all conditions.
NOTE: _
"GL-4"
is a
quality
and additive rating. "GL-
5"
or
"GL-6" rated
hypoid
gear oils
may
also be used.
