MIDDLE GEAR INSPECTION
1.lnspect:
• Damper cam surface
Wear/scratches
~ Replace the damper
cam
as a set.
2.1nspect:
• Damper spring
Damage/cracks
~ Replace.
3. Inspect:
• Middle driven pinion gear teeth
CD
• Middle drive pinion gear teeth ®
Pitting/galling/wear ~ Replace the middle
gear
as a set.
4. Inspect:
• Bearing
Pitting/damage
~ Replace the bearing
housing assembly.
• O-rings
Damage
~ Replace.
5.Check:
• Universal
joint movement
Roughness
~ Replace the universal joint.
. Sheave holder:
YS-01880,90890-01701
NOTE: _
• Tighten the nut (middle drive pinion gear)
® while holding the rotor with the sheave
holder@.
• To lock the threads stake them with a cen-
ter punch.
