sure that the gauge is positioned
over
the centerline
of
the yoke bearing hole.

the bearing housing.

Do
not hammer the universal joint or the
collapsible collar of the driven pinion gear
may
be
distorted. This will result
in
a
change
in
the standard spinning torque,
requiring replacement of the collapsible
collar and reassembly of the driven gear
assembly.
NOTE:
_
Check the gear backlash at
four
positions.
Rotate the universal
joint
90°
each
time
and
repeat the gear backlash check.
