Inspection steps:
.Clean
the entire motorcycle
thoroughly,
then
dry
it.
.Apply
a leak-locating
compound
or
dry
powder
spray
to
the shaft drive.
• Road test the motorcycle
for
the distance
necessary
to
locate
the
leak.

the
component

ing, gasket and/or seal
for
damage.

Replace
the

NOTE:
• An apparent oil leak on a
new
or
nearly
new motorcycle
may
result
from
the
application
of
a rust preventive coating
or
excessive seal lubrication.

apparent
leak.
