3.Remove:
• Final drive roller bearing
CD

Removal steps:
• Heat the final gear case
to 150
c
C (302"F).
• Using
an appropriately shaped punch ®
remove the roller bearing outer races.
• Remove the inner race
from the final drive
shaft.
NOTE: _
The removal of the final drive shaft roller
bearing is a
difficult procedure and is rarely
necessary.

4.1nstall:
• Final drive roller bearing (new)

Installation steps:
• Heat the final gear case
to 150 cC (302"F).
• Install the roller bearing outer races using
the proper adapter.
• Install the
inner race onto the drive shaft.

5.1nstall:
• Guide collar
CD
• Oil seal ® _
• Roller bearing (outer race) ®
To install the above' components into the
final gear case use a suitable press tool @
and a press.
