      The LCD brightness may be set to “DARK” in the SETTING mode, so check the preset LCD brightness. Also, the life of the LCD might have expired, as it typically lasts about three years. High temperature of the instrument or the battery pack may also cause the LCD brightness to dim automatically to protect against damage.
