5.4 Setting the Limiter
Procedure
1.
Press LIMIT to display the limiter setup screen.
Example of setting the current limiter in voltage source mode
2.
In up/down key mode, press the and keys to set the limit. In keypad mode,
press NUM LOCK +
or to set the limit.
Explanation
For details on the limiter, see section 2.3.
Setting Limits
In voltage source mode, the current limiter is enabled. In current source mode, the
voltage limiter is enabled.
When you set the limiter, a high limit and a low limit are set. The absolute value of these
limits is the same, but their polarities are different.
Example High limit: +200 mA
Low limit: –200 mA
Limiter Range Resolution Enabled When
Current limiter 1 mA to 200 mA 1 mA Voltage is being generated.
Voltage limiter 1 V to 30 V 1 V Current is being generated.
When the source range is set to 10 mV or 100 mV, the limit is fixed to 200 mA (you
cannot change this value). In this situation, the limit displays “---mA,” as shown in the
following figure.
