5.1 Setting the Source Function
Procedure
Press V, mV, or mA.
Explanation
For details on the source function, see section 2.3.
Display Example of Source Function
Voltage source (mV)
The relationship between the keys and the source function is as follows:
V key: Sets the source function to voltage and the source range to 1 V.
mV key: Sets the source function to voltage and the source range to 10 mV (the
circuit that produces the 10 mV range uses the voltage divider).
mA
key: Sets the source function to current and the source range to 1 mA.
Note
When you change the source function from voltage (V or mV) to current (mA) or when you
change the source function from current (mA) to voltage (V or mV), the source level setting
(the value) is retained. When you switch the source function, output is turned off.
When you switch the voltage source function between mV and V, the source level is
retained if it is within the range determined by the new source range. However, the fractional
part of the source level that is outside of the range determined by the new source range is
discarded. If the output was on before the voltage source function was changed, it remains
on. If the source level is outside of the range determined by the new source range, the
source level is set to 0.
