3.3 Connecting the Power Supply
Before Connecting the Power Supply
To prevent electric shock and damage to the instrument, follow the warnings below.
WARNING
Before connecting the power cord, ensure that the source voltage matches the
rated supply voltage of the instrument and that it is within the maximum rated
voltage of the provided power cord.
Connect the power cord after checking that the power switch o
f the instrument is
turned OFF.
T
o prevent electric shock or fire, be sure to use the power cord for the instrument
that is supplied by YOKOGAWA.
Make sure to connect protective earth grounding to prevent el
ectric shock.
Connect the power cord to a three-prong power outlet with a protective earth
terminal.
Do not use an extension cord without protective earth ground. The protective
features of the instrument will be rendered ineffective.
Use an
AC outlet that complies with the power cord provided and securely
connect the protective grounding. If such an AC outlet is unavailable and
protective grounding cannot be furnished, do not use the instrument.
Connecting the Power Cord
1.
Check that the instrument’s power switch is off.
2.
Connect the instrument’s power cord to the power inlet on the rear panel.
3.
Connect the other end of the cord to an outlet that meets the conditions below.
The AC outlet must be of a three-prong type with a protective earth ground
terminal.
