Installing Customer-Provided Alarm—System 75 XE Only
Requirements
For the System 75 XE, access to a relay contact is available for a customer provided alarm
that can be used to connect to a light, bell, or similar type device. The relay contact can be
administered so that it will make contact when a major, minor, or warning alarm condition
exists on the system. The circuitry required for this feature must be provided by the
customer. The device connected to the alarm leads must not exceed a rating of more than
100 volts at 3/4 amps. The contact leads appear at the cross-connect field on the
AUXILIARY connector, refer to the AUXILIARY connector labeling for lead assignments.
Installing Off-Premises Terminal Wiring
Requirements
The cabling outside the building for off-premises terminals is provided by the local telephone
company. The off-premises terminal appearance is on any of the RJ21X network interfaces
provided for central office trunks. The off-premises terminals can only be an FCC approved
analog type, for example, a 2500. The TN746 Analog Line circuit pack cannot be used for
off-premises terminals.
Installation
Concentrator cables are used between the cable access panel and the switch cabinet.
Concentrator cables (WP-90929, List 2 Cable Assemblies) connect the CABINET CABLES
connectors on the right side of the CAP to a Z100B1 Connector Module (see Note) at the
cross-connect field (Figure 2-84). There are eight terminal appearances on each of the 3-
fingers of the concentrator cable.
Note: Z100B1 Connector Modules are installed at the end of the cross-connect field
when 4-pair circuits are distributed to the station wiring from the cross-connect field
(Z100A1 Connector Modules). If a Z100B1 Connector Module is not provided, a
connecting unit located on the station side in the Z100A1 Connector Modules must be
replaced with a Z203A1 Connecting Unit.

If you are doing the initial installation, go to step 5; otherwise, do steps 2, 3, and 4.
Install a B25A cable between the RJ21X network interface and a sneak fuse panel.
Install a A25D cable between sneak fuse panel and cable access panel.
Connect single-fingered end of the concentrator cable to a connector on the right
side of the CAP.
Connect one of the 3-fingered ends of the concentrator cable to a Z203A1
Connecting Unit located in a Z100B1 Connector Module.
Install a blue 3-pair label on the connector module and identify the remote location
on the label header.
Install patch cords at cross-connect field.
Administer per AT&T System 75 and System 75 XE Implementation and AT&T
System 75 and System 75 XE Administration.
