Connect one end of switch cable to appropriate carrier slot and dress down back of
cabinet.
Route the cable from the switch cabinet through the cable slack manager and store
slack.
Connect the 25-pair cable to the 110 terminal block connector.
Repeat steps 1 through 4 until all cables are installed.
If connectorized top 110 terminal blocks are provided, "D" rings should be installed
to hold the cables against the wall, so the cables can be routed up the wall to the
top of the 110 terminal block.
Installing Cables Between Cross-Connect Field and Auxiliary Cabinet
Auxiliary equipment that connects to the cross-connect field can be optionally mounted
inside the auxiliary cabinet. The equipment connects to an ED-1E1443-10 (Group 1)
intraconnection panel provided with the auxiliary cabinet. The intraconnection panel
consists of a 110-type 100-pair wiring block located inside the cabinet. The wiring block is
prewired to four 25-pair female connectors on a mounting plate that is attached to the
outside rear skin of the cabinet.
Auxiliary equipment is punched down on the 110-type wiring block. A25D cables connect the
block to both the cross-connect field and the switch cabinet. Details for installing the
equipment and making the connections to the cross-connect field are included under the
heading AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION in this manual.
