jumpers.

Jumpers
Jumpers of solid wire can be used for cross-connections instead of the 1- and 3-pair patch
cords. The jumpers can be terminated on the connecting blocks using an impact tool.

Tools
The following tools are required to terminate the wire on the connecting blocks if field-
terminated connecting blocks or jumpers are used:
The D Impact Tool (AT-8762) is a single-wire termination tool
The 788J1 Impact Tool is used to terminate five pairs of wire
The 788 K1 Conductor Retention Tool is used to hold down cable pairs during
removal of the connecting blocks.
